The Bloodshrike Story
VC-49 (commonly known as Bloodshrike during the Anvient Wars – due to his ruthless methods and the sound of his metal body) was an alien robot, originally built by the Skull to drive Marsmellow off Mars. His metal exoskeleton was specifically designed to withstand the corroding effects of dark matter. After driving Marsmellow off Mars, verifiable sources regarding Bloodshrike’s movements disappear.
He resurfaced again during the start of the Anvient Wars. Bloodshrike, known throughout the galaxy as a skilled and feared warrior, received an invitation to a strategy meeting as faction representative. This meeting would be held in a secret location with other representatives of the Galaxy Freedom Movement to discuss the building of a new weapon. Little did Bloodshrike know that the entire meeting was a trap. The Daitroid Order, a rogue faction of robots, shot down Bloodshrike’s ship and took him prisoner, leaving his crew to suffocate in the vacuum of space.
Evil scientists and engineers of the Daitroid Order experimented on Bloodshrike, upgrading and modifying him. His already highly advanced robot mind and AI was further enhanced with 3 brainstems from 3 unknown alien races, enabling him to think and process in 3 different ways, each entirely separate from the others. This enhancement proved to be the Diatroid Order’s downfall. While the scientists thought he was offline, one of Bloodshrike’s new minds was conscious. He discovered the purpose of his enhancements: the Diatroid Order was planning to use him as a weapon!
Slowly, so as not to alert his captors, Bloodshrike brought himself online, waiting for the perfect moment to escape. As he waited, Bloodshrike learnt that the Anvient Wars were created by evil robots intending to destroy everything. He also discovered that the robots in power, the members of the powerful government party Robots for Unity, were completely unaware of what their own kind were doing.
Finally, the moment came for Bloodshrike’s escape. As an engineer approached him with an electrical prod, he sprang up and grabbed the prod out of his hand and flung the man across the room. With his heightened processing speed and natural combat functions, Bloodshrike made short work of the security. Bloodshrike quickly learnt that he was in the city of Concrate, the government’s capital city. Bloodshrike realized that the government was in on the conspiracy. Outraged, he tore down the lab and left it in flames.
After managing to escape the corrupt city and stealing a ship, Bloodshrike began formulating his plan. He realized that he was no longer completely robotic but had become a cyborg. He was filled with rage at how the Daitroid Order had tainted him, and how damaging the robot conspiracy was to the galaxy. In a moment of rare peace, all three mental processors reached the same conclusion at the same time: Bloodshrike would have to tear it all down.
Across the galaxy he travelled, gathering a strong, loyal team of warriors, assassins and builders. Each member of the team was necessary, and if not, Bloodshrike would tear them down without hesitation. He became known as a ruthless but respected leader by his team, and a tyrant by everyone else.
Heading for Mars, Bloodshrike decided he would settle on his home planet, and begin his assault on robotkind from there, but he was not welcomed by the Skull. They no longer had any use for him and attempted to destroy him. Bloodshrike and his team tore down the Skull empire on Mars. He declared that the previous owners of Mars were not worthy of the name Skull, and instead named his own army the True Skull. Amid the ashes and ruin, his team found a throne and presented it to him. Bloodshrike sat down and surveyed the damage his True Skull army had wrought. Bloodshrike had built his base on the ruins of his creators. Now was the time for the conquest
